Priscilla Jasmine Rollins, born on March 24, 1944, in Nassau, Bahamas, is affectionately known as the Bahamian Queen of Soul. She began her musical journey as a teenager, singing with her mother in a gospel group called the Strachans Coral Group during the late 1950s and 1960s. Priscilla further developed her talent by performing at various talent shows and matinee dances. In the mid to late 1960s, she joined the group The Mighty Makers, led by producer Cedric Munnings, which achieved national success and some international recognition, performing at popular venues like the Coyaba Room, Central Highway, and a club named Sin. In 1972, Priscilla embarked on a solo career, collaborating with renowned Bahamian producer and entertainer Tony McKay, also known as Exuma. This partnership took her to New York, where she recorded her first album for the now-defunct Roulette label.
