Proem, originally from Austin, Texas, now resides in Philadelphia, PA. He has been active in music since 1999, releasing tracks on labels such as Merck, n5MD, and Hydrant. Proem began experimenting with electronic devices at an early age, utilizing thrift store turntables, tape decks, Casio SK-5s, and circuit-bent keyboards. He currently composes using FL Studio and a variety of VST plugins, including Kontakt and Reaktor. Recognized as an early member of the US IDM scene, Proem continues to make significant contributions to the genre.
