**Bio: Propaganda** Propaganda is a synth pop group that originated in Düsseldorf, Germany, formed in 1982 by former Die Krupps keyboard player Ralf Dörper and Andreas Thein. Their early recordings took place in the summer of 1982 in Essen, Germany, where they utilized a PPG Synthesizer. The first two songs recorded were "Disziplin" (political) and "Sünde" (religious), featuring vocals by Susanne Freytag. Initially, they aimed to release these tracks through a London label but caught the attention of producer Trevor Horn, who signed them to his label ZTT in 1983. Before signing with ZTT, the band, including drummer Weet, recorded tracks with Nick Froome in London in February 1983. This session produced demos of "Doppelganger," "Radetzky Marsch," and "Mabuse," which helped secure their contract. Throughout their career, Propaganda has experienced several lineup changes: - **1984, ZTT**: Claudia Brücken, Ralf Dörper, Susanne Freytag, Michael Mertens, Andreas Thein (notable for "Dr. Mabuse") - **1985, ZTT**: Claudia Brücken, Ralf Dörper, Susanne Freytag, Michael Mertens (notable for "Duel," "A Secret Wish," "p:Machinery," "Wishful Thinking") In
