Psiglo is a legendary Uruguayan rock band that emerged in the 1970s, known for their significant contribution to the local progressive rock movement. The band introduced a fresh and innovative sound characterized by high social content in their lyrics, unusual electronic sounds for their time and location, and a musical level that was rarely heard before. Psiglo is considered one of the most important bands in the history of South American rock and is ranked among the top 20 most influential bands in the history of progressive hard rock, alongside renowned groups like Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, and King Crimson. The band consists of Ruben Melogno on vocals, Luis Cesio on guitar, Jorge García Banegas on keyboards, César Rechac on bass, and Gonzalo Farrugia on drums.
