Pure is a former Vienna-based Austrian producer and DJ who currently resides in Berlin. He began his DJ career in 1990 and released his first solo record in 1994. Over the years, he has released music on his own labels, Loop, and various other platforms. He collaborated with others to form notable projects and has organized numerous events, including the Berlin "Wasted" parties in collaboration with other artists, as well as early Techno events in Vienna such as Loop, Reflex, Spacedive, and Tekknodrome. He also hosted Vienna's first after-hour parties, "After Dark," and has been involved in advanced electronica events. Today, Pure primarily focuses on experimental sound creations and Dark Ambient music but is also known for occasionally performing relentless Breakcore/Hardcore or Oldschool Techno/Acid/Electro/Rave sets. Alongside Erich Berger, he created the Heart Chamber Orchestra, an audio-visual realtime composition for 12 musicians based on their own heartbeats.
