Quantec, the alias of Sven Schienhammer, is an electronic music producer and remixer who began his journey in 1995. Growing up in the '80s, he initially utilized hardware tools like the Roland MC 505 and 303, along with various effects. Today, his studio blends both hardware and software, incorporating vintage synthesizers from the '70s and '80s to capture the lo-fi essence of those machines. Quantec's music reflects digitized thoughts and emotions, with personal favorites spanning styles such as Detroit and dubby electronics, deep house, dub, roots reggae, drones, ambient, and experimental sounds. In addition to his work as Quantec, he also releases music under the names Monoaxial and Sven Schienhammer.
