Quicksand is a band that emerged in the mid-1990s in New York City, with connections to the New York Hardcore scene. The group includes former members of notable bands such as Gorilla Biscuits, Bold, Youth Of Today, Absolution, and Beyond. After initially disbanding in 1995, Quicksand reunited in 1997, embarking on a tour and beginning work on a third album, which ultimately went unreleased. The band broke up again in 1999 but made a return in 2012 for a series of shows.
