Quiet Elegance was formed in 1971 and is composed of two former members and a Vandella: Frances Yvonne (Frankie) Gearing, Mildred Vaney, and Sandra Delores (Lois) Reeves. They were discovered while supporting a show in Memphis and subsequently signed to a label in 1972. In 1974, they toured as the backing group for a prominent artist, and the following year, they provided backing vocals for another artist. The group disbanded in 1977.
