Quirino Do Canto is a Cape Verdean singer who began his musical journey in 1963 when he joined his father in the United States, where they had already performed together. In 1969, he accompanied his father on tour in America. Quirino founded the Matchona musical group in 1972 and later formed the Do Canto Brothers with his siblings in 1979. He continued to perform with various groups, including the Jam Band, and collaborated with many other artists throughout his career.
