Raed Yassin, born in Beirut in 1979, is a video, sound, and visual artist, as well as a musician specializing in double bass, tapes, and electronics. He is also a part-time curator and graduated from the theatre department at the Lebanese University in Beirut. Yassin's work explores themes related to media, the city, contemporary art history, Arabic cinema, pornography, pop culture, disasters, and archives. His art has been exhibited in Europe, the Middle East, the United States, and Japan. He currently resides and works in Amsterdam.
