Ralph Marco is the real name behind a 1970s studio formation that aimed to adapt the "Philly Sound," a blend of soft soul, danceable funk, and European impressionistic orchestral elements. This innovative approach helped pave the way for the disco wave that emerged in the mid-1970s. The band's recordings were made between 1971 and 1978. Additionally, bootleggers have referred to them as Baby Gravy or Babygravy.
