Randy Brown was a soul and disco singer born in 1952 in Memphis, Tennessee. He passed away on March 4, 2025. He was the brother of another artist and had a brief stint with an unspecified group before recording three singles at an undisclosed label. A schoolmate, who was a soul producer and songwriter, brought him to another location where he released two albums. After those two albums, he released two more at a different label. His fifth and last album was recorded at yet another location. Between 1978 and 1981, he recorded five albums. His biggest hit is "We Ought to Be Doin' It."
