Raphael Rabello was a Brazilian guitarist, arranger, and composer known for his mastery of the 7-string guitar. Born in 1962, he began his professional career in 1976 with the group "Os Carioquinhas," which included his sister Luciana. He later transitioned from playing the 6-string guitar to the 7-string guitar. After the band disbanded in 1978, he formed Camerata Carioca in 1979, which featured members from Os Carioquinhas along with Luís Otávio Braga on guitar. Throughout his career, Rabello worked as a session musician, contributing to over 400 recordings. In the 1980s and 1990s, he was regarded as one of the best acoustic guitar players in the world, collaborating with renowned artists such as Tom Jobim, Ney Matogrosso, Paulo Moura, and Paco de Lucia. Raphael Rabello passed away in 1995.
