Ratos de Porão is a hardcore punk band from São Paulo, Brazil, formed in 1981. The name translates to "Basement Rats" in Portuguese. The band has undergone several lineup changes over the years. Current members include Boka on drums since 1991, João Gordo on vocals since 1985 (with a brief hiatus from 1983 to 1984), Jão on guitars since 1986 (with previous roles as a vocalist and drummer), and Juninho on bass since 2004. The band has had several former members, including Chiquinho (vocals in 1981), Mingau (guitars from 1982 to 1985), Betinho (drums from 1981 to 1983), Spaghetti (drums from 1986 to 1990), Jabá (bass from 1981 to 1993), Walter Bart (bass in 1993 and 1994), Pica pau (bass from 1995 to 1999), Phú (bass in 1999), and Fralda (bass from 1999 to 2004).
