Ratso, born Jimmie Silman III in Bethesda, Maryland, is a guitarist based in Washington, DC. He began his musical journey playing bluegrass, country, and rock guitar while attending St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, North Carolina. After returning to DC, he played with Tex Rubinowitz & The Bad Boys and formed a rockabilly band called Switchblade. In addition to his music career, Ratso also became a news videographer.
