**Ratt Bio** Ratt is a hair/glam metal band hailing from San Diego, California, formed in the early 1980s, with roots tracing back to the mid-'70s under the leadership of vocalist Stephen Pearcy. By 1983, after several lineup changes and a move to Los Angeles, the classic lineup was established, featuring Pearcy, guitarists Warren DiMartini and Robbin "King" Crosby, bassist Juan Croucier, and drummer Bobby "Blotz" Blotzer. From 1984 to 1990, Ratt released five commercially successful albums, but by the early '90s, the band's popularity waned, partly due to changing musical tastes and Crosby's struggles with heroin addiction, which led to his departure. The band released their last single of this era, "Nobody Rides for Free," in 1991 before Pearcy and DiMartini left the band the following year. In 1997, discussions for a reunion took place, but Croucier declined to join, and Crosby was deemed unfit to participate due to ongoing addiction issues. Robbie Crane was brought in to replace Croucier, and this lineup released a self-titled album in 1999, which did not achieve the same success as previous works.
