Ray Anthony is an American bandleader, trumpeter, songwriter, and actor, born on January 20, 1922, in Bentleyville, Pennsylvania, USA. He was married to a sex symbol actress from 1955 to 1961 before their divorce. From 1940 to 1941, Anthony played in various musical ensembles, and from 1953 to 1954, he served as the musical director for the television series "TV's Top Tunes." He also appeared as himself in the 1955 film "Daddy Long Legs." Recognized as one of the most modern big band leaders, Anthony was a regular performer on the Las Vegas circuit. He continues to run his own label, which reissues his recordings as well as those of other artists.
