Ray Charles was an American singer, songwriter, musician, and composer, born on September 23, 1930, in Albany, Georgia, USA. He passed away on June 10, 2004, in Beverly Hills, California, USA. In 1986, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a performer. In 1962, he founded a music label, and after leaving it in 1973, he closed the label and started a new venture. The catalog of the original label, Tangerine, is owned by an unspecified entity.
