Raymond Legrand was a French composer, arranger, and band leader, born in 1908 in Paris and passing away in 1974 in the same city. He was also a saxophonist and composed several movie soundtracks. In addition to his musical career, he wrote books on harmonization. Legrand was married to Marcelle Der Mikaelian in 1929 and later had another marriage from 1960 to 1969. He was the father of two children.
