Reagenz is a music project formed by two artists who recorded their first album, entitled 'Reagenz', in 1994. The recording sessions took place in both San Francisco and Heidelberg, Germany, after the pair met before an early Autechre show in San Francisco. After a hiatus of 13 years, they reunited in May 2008 in Tokyo, coincidentally at a show, and spent productive days in a studio owned by a Japanese analog synth collector. They continued their collaboration with another session in Heidelberg, and David visited Jonah in early 2009 to finalize the new recordings.
