Red Snapper is a British instrumental band formed in London in 1993 by Ali Friend (double bass), Richard Thair (drums), and David Ayers (guitar). The band has collaborated with various guest musicians and vocalists on different records. After splitting up in early 2002 to pursue solo projects, Red Snapper regrouped in 2007, with Tom Challenger (saxophone) joining the lineup. They began touring in 2008 and released a new album in 2011. The band has also performed live with various vocalists and a keyboardist and MC.
