Redd Foxx was an American actor and comedian, born on December 9, 1922, in Saint Louis, Missouri. He is best remembered for his iconic role as Fred G. Sanford in the television comedy "Sanford and Son," which aired from 1972 to 1977. In addition to his acting career, Foxx's party records, which began in 1956, achieved significant commercial success, selling 20 million copies. He passed away on October 11, 1991, in Hollywood, California.
