Refused is a hardcore punk band from Umeå, Sweden, formed in 1991. The band originally split up in 1998 but reunited for the first time in 2012. After an intense touring schedule, they announced a new hiatus later that year. Refused reactivated in late 2014, releasing new music and touring until they disbanded again in their hometown of Umeå on December 21, 2025. The final line-up of the band included Dennis Lyxzén on vocals, David Sandström on drums, Magnus Flagge on bass, and Matties Bärjed on guitar.
