Reinhard Voigt is a prominent figure in the Cologne-based record label Kompakt, having been a member since the early nineties. Influenced by his famous older brother, Reinhard has developed a distinctive sound characterized by dirty, subversive, yet charming minimal techno pop. His recent releases on Kompakt's "Speicher" project have gained significant attention, introducing a more radical dancefloor sound to the label's offerings, which are popular worldwide.
