Rekid is the alter-ego of Matt Edwards, also known as Radio Slave, a prominent remixer in the dance music scene. His collaborations with artists such as DJ Hell, Kylie Minogue, Carl Craig, Talking Heads, Gwen Stefani, and Elton John have established him as one of the most sought-after remixers today. Rekid represents his more serious and underground work, with tracks like "85 Space" and "Retrospective" showcasing his signature sound of tech, disco, and slowed-down house. His debut release as Rekid, "Tranzit," came out on Soul Jazz Records and sold out on its first day. With various projects including Rekid, Radio Slave, Quiet Village, Mathew E, and Sea Devils, Matt Edwards’ music transcends traditional dance music boundaries, blending house, broken beat, techno, electro, and disco cut-ups, influenced by icons such as Walter Gibbons, Andy Weatherall, and DJ Harvey. His upcoming album, "Made In Menorca," is set to be released later this year on Soul Jazz Records.
