Remi Gassmann is an American classical avant-garde composer renowned for his pioneering work in early electronics. He studied under Paul Hindemith at Berlin’s Musik Hochschule, where he met fellow student Oskar Sala. Together, they conceived the score for George Balanchine’s ballet "Electronics" in 1961. Gassmann also assisted Sala with the sound effects for Alfred Hitchcock’s film "The Birds" in 1963.
