Remy Ma, born Remy Martin on May 30, 1980, in the Bronx, New York, is a female rapper known for her contributions to hip-hop, particularly her collaborations with Fat Joe and The Terror Squad, from which she is no longer affiliated. Due to potential legal issues with the Cognac brand Rémy Martin, she shortened her stage name to "Remy Ma" or simply "Remy." Her debut album, "There's Something About Remy," was released in 2005 and sold nearly 200,000 units according to Soundscan. Since then, she has released several mixtapes, and her sophomore album, titled "PunisHER," is slated for release.
