Matt and Mark Thibideau are twin brothers from Wallaceburg, Ontario, known for their musically uncompromising approach. They initially formed their first band, Wax Bean Orchard, in the early 90s, achieving some local indie success. After relocating to Toronto, the brothers focused on various minimal house and techno solo projects for several years. In 2001, they reunited with vocalist Dawn Lewis, aiming to infuse a more melodic quality into their already intricate sound, characterized by "written" techno, complex synthesizer programming, and house-inspired drum beats.
