Retta Young, born in 1949 in South Carolina, U.S.A., is a notable figure in the music industry. She was a member of the Sixties group The Superbs, which is distinct from the Los Angeles-based group of the same name. Retta was also the wife of a member of The Superbs, who were a sister group to the male group The Superlatives. In addition to her work with The Superbs, she formed her own group and recorded a solo album along with three solo singles between 1975 and 1978.
