Jonah, known by his moniker Revolution Void, is a jazz pianist and breakbeat producer based in Northern California, born in 1983. He creates electronic breakbeat jazz, blending intricate rhythms with improvisation from modern jazz musicians such as Matthew Garrison, Seamus Blake, and Lucas Pickford. His music draws inspiration from both modern jazz legends like Herbie Hancock and contemporary electronic artists such as the Chemical Brothers, DJ Cam, and DJ Shadow. Although often associated with "Acid Jazz," Jonah's work aligns more with the 1970s style of Miles Davis rather than the 1990s smooth-jazz-techno fusion. In addition to his solo work, Jonah has collaborated as a freelance producer with notable musicians, including Theodore "Lolo" Beaubrun of Boukman Eksperyanz and David Gonzalez. He contributed to the 48-speaker multimedia installation for Seattle's Experience Music Project, known as the Audio Immersion Tunnel, working alongside a team that included Michael Shrieve (Santana) and Andy Summers (the Police). This innovative installation allowed audiences to experience a dynamic soundscape as they navigated through the tunnel. Jonah has released music under Revolution Void Records and other labels like Koyote Records UK and Bikini Wax NYC. Alongside his production work, he plays jazz piano, DJs, and has taught various music-related classes, including Electronic Music Composition and Live Electronic Music Performance, at Experience Music Project. He has also assisted drummer and producer Dave Hill
