Rey Sapienz is a talented musician from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He began his musical journey in a church choir and started performing as a rapper at the age of 12 for the "Independence Day of Congo." Rey has always been dedicated to his community, regularly organizing writing workshops in youth centers. After completing his studies in 2012, he traveled to Uganda for collaborations with various producers in Kampala. Due to the ongoing war, he extended his stay in Uganda, where he co-founded the Hakuna Kulala Label with Arlen Dilsizian and Derek Debru. In June 2017, he taught himself music production and released his first EP, "HAKUNA KULALA," within a year. Currently, he serves as the artist liaison for Hakuna Kulala and conducts Ableton workshops for emerging producers in Kampala. Rey is also part of the duo Poko Poko with a Congolese composer.
