Ric Cartey was an American rockabilly musician and songwriter, born on January 18, 1937, in Atlanta, Georgia. He is best known for co-writing the hit song "Young Love." Cartey passed away on August 5, 2009, in Palm Harbor, Florida. "Young Love" achieved significant success, charting nine times between 1956 and 1994, and reaching #1 three times, performed by Sonny James in the US country charts, Tab Hunter in the UK, and Donny Osmond also in the UK.
