Ric Ocasek was an American new wave and soft rock singer-songwriter, guitarist, keyboardist, and music producer. Born on March 23, 1944, in Baltimore, Maryland, he passed away on September 15, 2019, in New York City, New York. He was the father of four children and served as the lead vocalist for a band, for which he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
