Ricardo Eddy Martinez, also known as Richard Eddy, Edyto, or Edito, is a Cuban-born musician, producer, arranger, composer, conductor, and sound engineer. He was born on December 5, 1954, in La Havana, Cuba, and has been living in the USA since 1980. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with various international artists, including Gloria Estefan, Jose Feliciano, Julio Iglesias, Rita Moreno, Johnny Mathis, Regina Belle, Paloma San Basilio, Chayanne, Azucar Moreno, Arturo Sandoval, Chick Corea, Paquito D’Rivera, and The London Symphony Orchestra. In Cuba, he began his musical journey as a drummer for Los Almas Vertiginosas and later became a pianist with Los Reyes '73 and Amaury Perez. In the 1970s, he formed the band Expreso Ritmico, with whom he recorded an LP for Areito. As a sound engineer, he worked in Coral Gables, Florida.
