Ricardo "Eddy" Martinez, also known as Richard Eddy, Edyto, or Edito, is a Cuban-born musician, producer, arranger, composer, conductor, and sound engineer. He was born in La Havana on December 5, 1954, and has lived in the USA since 1980. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with various international artists, including Gloria Estefan, Jose Feliciano, Julio Iglesias, Rita Moreno, Johnny Mathis, Regina Belle, Paloma San Basilio, Chayanne, Azucar Moreno, Arturo Sandoval, Chick Corea, Paquito D’Rivera, and The London Symphony Orchestra. In Cuba, he started as a drummer for Los Almas Vertiginosas and later became a pianist with Los Reyes '73 and Amaury Perez. In the 1970s, he formed Expreso Ritmico, with whom he recorded a LP for Areito. As a sound engineer, he worked in Coral Gables, Florida.
