**Bio of Richard Stoute** Richard Stoute was born in Barbados on January 8, 1946, in the Parish of St. Michael. He passed away on November 25, 2023, at the age of 77 after a lengthy illness. Richard received his education at St. Mary’s Junior School and later at St. Leonard’s Boys School. From a young age, he showed exceptional talent and aspired to a career in music and entertainment, a passion he pursued for over 60 years, beginning at the age of 12. Despite opportunities to leave Barbados for broader prospects, Richard chose to remain on the island to mentor and share his talents with aspiring singers. Over the last 40+ years, he has helped thousands of Barbadian youth embark on music careers. Notable graduates and contestants from his mentorship include Rupee, Edwin Yearwood, Hal Linton, Adrian Clarke, Blood Armstrong, Tamara Marshall, Terencia Coward, and Calypso Monarchs such as Classic, Ian Webster, and Aziza, highlighting his significant contribution to the Crop Over festivities. Among the Soca Monarchs he influenced are Mr. Blood Armstrong, Barry Chandler, Alison Hinds, Terencia Coward, and Rupee, all of whom have achieved impressive careers in music.
