Rick Nelson was an American singer-songwriter and actor, born on May 8, 1940, in Teaneck, New Jersey. He gained fame in the late 1950s and early 1960s as a teen idol and became one of the first successful rock and roll stars. Nelson was known for his smooth vocals and a string of hit songs, including "Hello Mary Lou," "Garden Party," and "Poor Little Fool." He also starred in the television series "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet," which featured his family. Nelson's music career spanned several decades, and he was influential in the development of the rock genre. He passed away in a plane crash on December 31, 1985.
