Ricky Williams is a talented US funk pianist, songwriter, and performer hailing from New York City. Blind since the age of six, he learned to play the piano with the guidance of fellow blind musician Valerie Capers. Over the years, Williams has owned his own studio and performed at some of New York City's most renowned jazz clubs, including the Vanguard, Apollo, Village Gate, Blue Note, and Count Basie's. With an impressive catalog of over 1500 original compositions, he collaborated with Stevie Wonder on the hit "Superstition" and the LP "Stevie Wonder Songbook." Williams has also participated in numerous recording sessions at the Record Plant and Electric Lady studios. His extensive credits include working with notable artists such as Ben E. King, Bette Midler, The Temptations, Roy Ayers, Peter Nero, Patti LaBelle, and Sister Sledge. For eleven years, he was a fixture at The Forge, an iconic venue on Miami Beach, where he had one of the longest-running shows in South Florida. Among his many accomplishments, Williams wrote "Misty Morning" for Ollie Woodson's album, featuring one of the original Temptations.
