Riff Raff was a British progressive rock band formed in 1972 by keyboardist Tommy Eyre. The band emerged from a project called 'Crikey,' initiated by drummers Rod Coombes and Joe Czarnecki (also known as Joe Peters) in 1969, which concluded in 1970 when Coombes began touring with Juicy Lucy. The sessions from 'Crikey' contributed to Riff Raff's album "Outside Looking In," with Coombes writing half of the songs. Despite releasing two albums that received lukewarm responses, Riff Raff's blend of jazz and hard-edged rock earned them a significant underground following. They also released the single "Copper Kettle." The band consisted of Bud Beadle on saxophone, Rod Coombes on drums and percussion, Joe Czarnecki on drums and percussion, Aurero De Souza on drums, Tommy Eyre on keyboards and vocals, Pete Kirtley on guitar and vocals, Roger Sutton on bass guitar and vocals, Steve Gregory on woodwind, and Joanna Newman on vocals.
