Riz Ortolani was an Italian composer, arranger, and conductor, born on March 25, 1926, in Pesaro, Marche, Italy. He passed away on January 23, 2014, in Rome, Lazio, Italy. Sometimes credited as Roger Higgins, Ortolani was married to a singer/actress. In the 1950s, he founded his own jazz band, inspired by the innovative style of Stan Kenton. In 1962, he co-wrote his first soundtrack for the film/documentary "Mondo Cane" (A Dog's Life) with Nino Oliviero, which featured the world-wide hit song "More" and earned a Grammy Award for "Best Instrumental Theme." Over his career, Ortolani scored more than 200 movies, with notable works including "O' Cangaceiro" (1970), "Il Sorpasso" (The Easy Life) (1962), "Danza Macabra" (1964), "Africa Addio" (Farewell To Africa) (1966), "Addio Zio Tom" (Goodbye Uncle Tom) (1971), "Sette Orchidee Macchiate di Rosso" (1972), "Io Ho Paura" (1977), and "Cannibal Holocaust" (1980). His music has also been featured in the "Kill Bill" films, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2,
