RJD2, born Ramble Jon Krohn on May 27, 1976, in Eugene, Oregon, is an American hip hop and electronic producer and DJ. Although he was born in Eugene, he considers Columbus, Ohio, his hometown. He began his career as a producer for Megahertz (or simply Mhz) and made his solo debut in 2001 with a compilation. Over the years, RJD2 has evolved from being labeled "the next DJ Shadow" to establishing himself as a unique artist, creating music independently and producing beats for other artists.
