Robert Lee is an emerging upright bassist, composer, and bandleader in Toronto's jazz scene. Initially trained in violin, he transitioned to bass and earned degrees from the University of Guelph and Humber College, culminating in a Master's in Contemporary Performance from Berklee Valencia in 2021. Lee has collaborated with esteemed artists such as Neil Swainson, Ted Quinlan, and Allison Au. His performances span notable festivals, including the TD Toronto Jazz Festival and the Guelph Jazz Festival. In 2023, he performed alongside the Seocho Philharmonia and the Glenn Gould School Orchestra at Toronto's Koerner Hall.
