Robert Calvert was an English musician born on 9 March 1945 and passed away on 14 August 1988 due to a heart attack. He was known for playing saxophone and intermittently contributed poetry, lyrics, and vocals to the legendary space rock band Hawkwind. Calvert was involved in five of the band's most critically acclaimed albums, including "Space Ritual" (1973), "Quark, Strangeness & Charm" (1977), and "25 Years On / Hawklords" (1978). Additionally, he recorded several solo albums between 1974 and 1986.
