Robert "Bob" Cobert (born October 26, 1924 - died February 19, 2020) was an American musical composer recognized for his contributions to television and film. He is best known for his work as the composer for the soap opera Dark Shadows and for creating the scores for the pilots of the TV series Kolchak: The Night Stalker. Cobert received an Emmy nomination for his work on the mini-series Winds of War and its sequel, War and Rememberance. A favored collaborator of Dark Shadows creator Dan Curtis, he also composed music for Curtis's cult classic horror films, including Trilogy of Terror and Burnt Offerings. In addition to his film work, Cobert composed numerous themes for game shows.
