Robert Fripp is a British guitarist, keyboard player, writer, and producer, best known as a founder and the only continuous member of King Crimson, from their debut album "In The Court Of The Crimson King" in 1969 to their most recent studio album. With a career spanning over 50 years as a professional musician and 60 years as a guitarist, he is recognized for developing Frippertronics and Soundscapes, techniques that allow for complex sound creation using tape/digital delay and effects. Fripp co-owns and operates the record label Discipline Global Mobile (DGM), which specializes in releasing King Crimson material and side projects from various band members, including himself. He founded Guitar Craft seminars, with the first taking place in West Virginia, USA, from March 25th to 30th, 1985. From the mid-1980s to the early 1990s, the performance arm of Guitar Craft toured extensively. In 2010, Guitar Craft evolved into the Guitar Circles of North America, South America, and Europe, which Fripp continues to direct along with the Symphony of Crafty Guitarists. On September 1st, 2022, Fripp's first widely published book, "The Guitar Circle," was released in association with DGM.
