Robert Johnson was a legendary and influential delta blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter, born on May 8, 1911, in Hazlehurst, Mississippi. He passed away on August 16, 1938, in Greenwood, Mississippi, at the young age of 27. Despite his brief life, Johnson left a widespread impact on music, with some of his songs credited to others. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 as an Early Influence. He is also recognized as the father of a notable figure in music.
