Roberto Leal (born 27 November 1951, Macedo de Cavaleiros, Portugal – died 15 September 2019, São Paulo, Brazil) was a Portuguese-Brazilian singer, songwriter, producer, and actor. He moved to Brazil with his family in 1962 and went on to sell more than 17 million albums, earning 30 golden records and 5 platinum records. Some of his best-known songs include "Bate o Pé," "Clareou," "O Vinho de Meu Amor," and "Marrabenta." He was married and collaborated with his spouse on various songs. He is also known by the names Leal, Leal R., or Joaquim Fernandes.
