Roberto Ribeiro was a Brazilian samba singer, songwriter, and artist born on July 20, 1940, in Campos dos Goytacazes, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He passed away on January 8, 1996, in Rio de Janeiro at the age of 55. Ribeiro was a member of the samba crew Império Serrano and had a respectable career as a performer and composer beginning in the mid-1960s. Known for his well-modulated voice and lean phrasing, his repertoire included various styles of samba, such as afoxés, Ijexá, Maracatu, and other African rhythms. Throughout his career, he recorded over 20 albums and produced popular hits like "Acreditar," "Estrela de Madureira," "Todo Menino É Um Rei," "Malandros Maneiros," "Fala Brasil," and "Amor De Verdade."
