Roberto Rodríguez, Sr. (1936-1988) was a Cuban trumpeter, composer, and singer who migrated to the United States in 1955. He played alongside various musicians and was a member of several bands. He was the father of trumpeter and bassist Richard Rodriguez. It is important not to confuse him with another bassist who was also a member of the same group.
