Robin Julian Heifetz is a composer known for his work in electroacoustic media. He earned his doctorate in composition from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1978. He has held positions as composer-in-residence at various institutions, including EMS Stockholm in Sweden, Colgate University in the USA, Tel-Aviv University in Israel, the Institute for Psychoacoustics and Electronic Music in Belgium, and Audio-Digital Laboratories in Canada. In the 1980s, he served as an assistant professor and directed the Center for Experimental Music at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Currently, he is on the music faculty at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, California. His recent electroacoustic works have been featured on Volumes II, V, VII, and VIII of Electroshock Records, and he is working on a full-length release for the label. In recent years, Heifetz has shifted his focus from pure electronic works to mixed-media compositions.
